Marc, Bart & Rick,
Our family extends our heartfelt condolences on the loss of your father, a wonderful, giving and loving man.
'Uncle Harry' meant the world to me throughout my life. From "the Pools", to politics, vacations, marriages, births and sadly, deaths, he was always there for me, along with your family.
My father adored his 'Jewish brother'. I hope that our parents have once again met up with each other, wherever they may be and Jimmy and Harry are back to their old 'antics' while their two lovely ladies, Blanche and Ruth, watch, shaking their heads in disbelief yet again.
I will treasure the memories I have of your father and am grateful that he was a part of my life for so many years.
With sympathy and love,
Michelle (King) Myers and Family

To Harry's family: Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of one of the most thoughtful men I have had the pleasure to know.
Recently, I helped Doreen in a department store and when I saw the name on her card I instantly asked if she was related to Harry. She, very proudly said, "He is my husband". I just had to tell her how helpful he was to me when I worked at Elmer's Farmer's Market. He was so gracious to my children as well, when they came there from school to wait for me. He made sure they had a safe place at a table so they could sit and color or do homework and sip the drinks which he provided. They, too, remember his kindness and his pleasant manner. I treasure a few funny and generous moments/stories from those at the market with Harry. These go back to the late 1980's but I still recall them with much gratitude.
I only recently read Harry's death notice in the Jewish Exponent and appreciated reading about him and seeing his picture.
God's blessings to each of you during this time and the days to follow.

Dear Bart & Family,
I was so saddened to hear of your father's passing.
I remember all of us from "Camp Ambler" feeling so welcomed by your parents when we would just stop by unannounced constantly.
I know how proud he must have been of you and your brothers and your families.
With deepest sympathy,
Marti(Stein),Lewis & Robbie Berkowitz and Eric & Shaun Margolis

You can imagine the impression a guy like Harry would have made on a young 19 year old girl back in the 70's. Harry, with his larger than life personality, booming voice, repertoire of practical jokes, big laugh, warmth, generosity, hot temper, and ever present Maalox bottle. His was an indelible mark that I have carried with me for 30 years.
Many of us have fond memories of Harry, Blanche, & Oakfield Lane. I have always carried mine in my hip pocket, close and ready for review in an instant. My deepest sympathies to this fine family who have lost an exceptional family member. A life fully lived, here's to you, Mr. Charisma!

My deepest sympathy to the family. I am a retired Lieut. in the Phila. Fire Dept.(I spoke to Bart a few years ago and he put me on the phone with his father.)Harry took care of a young couple going to be married and have their reception at the Charisma Room. I was seriously injured in a fire in June 1973..our wedding was in trouble because I was in the hospital with my injuries.Harry got together with my wife..rescheduled the wedding to 11/24/73 and even had our invitations reprinted (at no additional charge).I thanked him again when I last spoke to him on the phone with Bart; I could never thank him enough(He only wanted to know how I was doing..he kept calling me "kid" too) He was truly one of a kind and I was proud to know him.

There are so many that will miss Harry the husband, the father, the grandfather, the friend. His legacy in the community and all those that he touched, will be remebered as much as his deep resounding laugh. My deepest condolences to all in the Blatstein family. You are all so very fortunate to have had Harry in your lives, and I thank you for sharing Harry with all of us.
