Howard Goldblatt Obituary

Goldblatt Howard J. March 4, 2022, 70, A decades-long volunteer at Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia (and formerly HFHI Chester County), pheresis donor, general contractor and carpenter extraordinaire. Howard was a devoted husband to his wife of 49 years, Anne Nelson Goldblatt, adoring father to Helen (Rose Winchell) and Grace (Edward Giordano) and a loving grandpop to his precious grandson, Nelson Outlaw Giordano. Also survived by his loving sister, Margaret (David Luce) and his dear brothers and sisters-in-law, Kathleen and Charles (Chip) Kappler and Christine and Joseph Kappler and nieces and nephews. His family was Howard's joy, and our best memories will always be our epic Christmas celebrations, family pub crawls, and vacations at Cape May Point, where Howard reigned as King of the Grill. Donations in Howard's memory may be made to Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia or Penn Medicine Hospice. A memorial service will be planned for early June.

We only knew him for about 4 years while we were neighbors in Ardmore. But he was one of those individuals who should never be forgotten. I can feel his warmth remember his smile and general kind demeanor.. Anne, you and Howard were a grand couple. Both of you. It must be hard without him but how lucky you were to have had him for so many years. We only knew him for 4 but he left a big impression on us...sending love to you Anne and family,
Sincerely,
Mary and Jack Seaborne

Howard and I were class mates at William B. Mann Public School, Dimner Beeber Jr. High School and 227 Bros at Central High School all in Philadelphia. Can't begin to tell you of our adventures together during the most formative years of our lives. We each went into our own interests and careers. Howard always had an inventive mind with ideas and translated into creative expression in carpentry. It is with respect of our friendship and desire to extend my regards to Anne and his entire family and rejoice in all the memories and keep Howard close to our heart and thoughts. May Howard's memory always be for a blessing to his family, loved ones and friends.

Yo How, I think I have some mastic left over from that floor job we did about 45 years ago. Think it's still good? I miss you brother. Go in peace.

We are heartbroken for Howard´s immediate family and for all the lives he has touched. We feel blessed having 40 some years of memories with Howard in our family. We will remember his smile, his humor, and his kindness. He always came through for the Nelson family and we loved him. He was the life of all of our family celebrations. We will truly miss him. May God shed His grace to the family at this time.
