Friends always remembered Howard's birthday occurring every year on June 14 or Flag Day. Howard was born and raised in Philadelphia. As a young man, he was a graduate of Philadelphia's prestigious Central High School, graduating in Jan. 1959, 211th class. He distinguished himself there, among other things, as an all-around musician. He played the tuba, viola, and piano. He was honored several years to march and play the tuba in Philadelphia's Mummers' Parade. Howard was a Graduate of the University of Pennsylvania's famed Wharton School, specializing in Economics. He received his Master's Degree in Business Administration at Temple University. Howard served as a First Lieutenant in the United States Army. Howard was a past president of Philadelphia's Main Line Ski Club and always delighted in spending quality time on the slopes. He was an avid skier, trying for a least 20 days a year, every year. Howard was a longtime executive with Scott Paper Co., specializing in Supply Chain Management. After retiring from Scott Paper/Kimberly Clark, he formed H.W. Associates, Inc., a management and consulting firm specializing in Supply Chain Management. Howard was President of the Warehousing Education Association. He published a college text titled Warehousing Management and Operations. He was an Adjunct Faculty Member at Glassboro and Penn State. Howard got his Pilot's license in 1965 to the delight of his many friends. Howard was also an avid bridge player, usually partnering with his wife of 30 years, Kathleen Quaid-Weisz. Howard is survived by his wife Kathleen (who was at his bedside at home when he passed); his children, Dr. Jessica Stacey Santillano, Stephen Baron Weisz, and Eric Ian Weisz (wife Laura) and grandchildren, Adriana and Simeon Santillano and Zoe and Luka Weisz. Howard is also survived by sisters, Ruthy Pancari (husband Steve Pagnoni) and Helen Weisz. Howard's life was a testament to humility, integrity, and the quiet strength of a man who built a life full of meaning. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. In Honor of Howard P. Weisz, your donation in lieu of flowers can be made to: Cornerstone Hospice and Palliative Care, 601 Mariposa Way, The Villages, FL 32162 or online at CSHospice.org. Howard was a man of high integrity. He was fair to his suppliers and helped educate me when I got into the warehouse business. Truly one of the finest people I ever did business with and I am 84.

I had the privilege and luck to work with Howard when I led Scott Logistics. the most impressive memory I have of Howard is his encyclopedic memory of both logistics academic theory and his knowledge of the supply needs nuances of key Scott customers. Plus my memory of Howard's personal ethics and consistent attitude of care and support of his teammates in not only Scott Logistics but across all pertinent functions in Scott.
Howard was the "most valuable player" in Scott Logistics and a absolutely great human being!

Howard was a friend and a mentor. I met him shortly after I joined the Scott logistics team in 1973. His guidance carried me through many challenging assignments and he was always there with encouragement and sound advice. A true professional, a nice, nice person and a blessing to many. My condolences to his family for this loss.
