JACOB P. on Sept. 24, 2012 age 72 of Lansdale formerly of Cheltenham. Former Chelten-ham Twp. Police Detective. Beloved husband of Nancy (nee des Garennes). Loving father of Donna Gordon (Arthur), Maureen Yevoli (Vincent), Jacob M. (Karen), Sharon Mikulski (Adam), Kristie Replogle (Mike) and Tim (Kristen). Also survived by 15 grandchildren, his brothers Robert and William Gerhardt. Funeral Mass Friday 11:00 A.M. Immaculate Conception Church 602 West Ave. Jenkintown, PA 19046. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation at THE WILLIAM R. MAY FUNERAL HOME 354 N.Easton Rd. (at Keswick Ave.) Glenside Thursday from 6 to 9 P.M. and to the visitation at Immaculate Conception Church Friday after 10:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers donations to Carmelite Monastery Old York Rd. and 66 th Ave. Phila., PA 19126 would be appreciated.

Nancy what can I say that I haven't already said to you, Jake was a wonderful person so loved by everyone and still a pain in our hearts that he left too soon. My sincere sympathy to you and your children.

To the entire Gerhardt Family my sincere condolences. Mr. Gerhardt was a great man who served his community as passionately as he served his family. He will be missed. It is an honor having known him and all of you, his wonderful wife and children. My prayers go out to all of you.

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal. The members of our CopNET family would like to thank Detective Jacob P. Gerhardt for his dedication and service to the township citizens. The passing of Jacob will be broadcast to our 3.409 members shortly and we would like to extend our sincere condolences to his family. His absence from our ranks will be deeply missed by the remaining members of the department who were fortunate to have served with him during his police career. He will continue in our thoughts and prayers during our remaining days. "Until we meet again, may God Hold you in the palm of his hand. " . . .

I am so saddened by the news of Mr. Gerhardt's passing... I have so many wonderful memories of being at Beecher Avenue with you all. Mr. Gerhardt always made me laugh and seemed to have a twinkle in his eye. When I saw him at my grandmother's funeral last summer, I thought how amazing it was that he appeared to be exactly the same as always!
