JAMES EDWARD 'CHIM'. The son of Jeanne Bethune and James Edward Bagley, Sr. departed this life on December 10, 2009 in Burke, Virginia. James was a high achiever. He attended Cheney University and joined the ROTC Program. He rose to the status of Sergeant in short order. To use his words ''I am a MARINE''. His career climbed to excellence within the Seven Eleven Corporation in Training Management and Operations. He was a fitness specialist. He assisted and trained those seeking good physical results. His handle was JBfit4life. It was his chosen path that he knew well and performed at the top of his game. He leaves behind three children, twin girls, Sydni and Sierra and son Jeb, Jr., two ex-wives, Deonna and Patty and his current wife Lisa Ann Bethune. His brother Derrick Earl Bethune, nephews, Derrick, Jr. and Andre, sister-in-law Andrea Bethune, his cousin Darren Dawson, Aunts, Lillian Dawson and Brenda Long, Uncles, Raymond Long, Ronald and Belford Bagley. And additionally survived by family members: grand first cousin Lillian ''Chunky'' Robinson, stepmother Maxine Bagley and sisters Krystal and Stephanie Bagley, Aunt Sarah Austin and daughter Gail Austin, Uncle Reverend James Dyches, Zachary and Allan Dyches, a host of cousins, associates and supporters. They all discovered his personal, spiritual light and everlasting persona. He was Christlike in his discourse and very effective at the delivery of the word of God. God took him home suddenly to his Kingdom while administering his power and glory. All praises be to the Father for his infinite wisdom to take "Chim" home. A Memorial Service is scheduled for December 19, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Chestnut Hill Baptist Church, #2 Bethlehem Pike, Germantown Avenue & Bethlehem Pike (Directly across from Borders Book Store in Chestnut Hill), Philadelphia, PA 19118, (215) 248-3063. Senior Pastor David E. Seip will preside over the ceremony.
