JAMES McGOLDRICK Obituary
FATHER JAMES FRANCIS, 74 passed away December 20, 2015 at Jefferson University Hospital. Father James was born on March 6, 1941, made his profession in the Society of Mary on September 8, 1961, and was ordained to the priesthood on February 18, 1967. He served in many apostolates of the Society of Mary and in different parts of the country: beginning with St. Joseph's Parish, Marietta, GA from 1967-69; Marist College, Washington, DC from 1969-71, as faculty member; Marist Novitiate, New Orleans, LA, and Washington, DC from 1971-78, as the assistant and later as novice master; Marist School, Atlanta, GA, 1978-87 as Teacher of religion and Latin; St. Peter Chanel High School, Bedford, OH, from 1987-94 as the Assistant Principal and Teacher; Marist College, Washington, DC from 1994-97, as Vice-Rector; Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, Atlanta, GAA from 1994-2006 as Pastor and led the building of a new church; St. Vincent de Paul Parish, Wheeling, WV from 2006-2011 as Parochial Vicar and Pastor; St. Francis-St. Blaise Parish, Brooklyn, NY from 2011-2013 as Senior Religious; and finally at St. Raphael-Holy Angels Parish, Hamilton, NJ 2013-present. He is survived by his brother, Brother John McGoldrick FCS, and his cousin Tina Walton, both from the Philadelphia, PA area. Vigil Service for the Deceased and Reception of the Body will be Tuesday December 29, 2015 at St. Raphael Church, 3500 South Broad St. Hamilton at 6:30 P.M. followed by the Visitation until 9:30 P.M. Morning visitation will be Wednesday December 30, 2015 at St. Raphael Church from 8:30 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. Funeral Mass will be Celebrated 11 A.M. Wednesday at St. Raphael Church, 3500 South Broad St., Hamilton NJ 08610. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, 5201 Hulmeville Rd., Bensalem, PA 19020

Back in the day, Jim and I were great friends at St Peter Chanel HS. When I was in the hospital having my oldest daughter, he of course came to see me. I asked him why he was wearing his collar. He answered, "I get free parking." Typical Jim. I sure
miss him. My daughter used to call him Jimmy Go Night, she couldn't say Mc Goldrick. Rest in Peace, Jimmy Go Night.

Prayers to the McGoldrick Family.
I remembered Fr. McGoldrick when I was a freshman at St. Peter Chanel HS in 1993-94, Fr McGoldrick was the Assistant Principal and Dean of Academics at the time. Fr. McGoldrick was a very friendly man and with Fr. James Lacrosse both men were very friendly

I knew Jim McGoldrick in the Marist Novitiate on Staten Island, and at Marist College in Washington, D.C. He was a good friend and dedicated to his vocation I was sorry to read of his passing. Robert Hurley

Father James will be truly missed be blessed us at ST Rapheals Chuch with his charm and wonderful good hummer, he loved the music of the Choir. and He used to come to our Singalongs with we played on Once a month on a friday evening. when he used to see my daughter Alyssa they always hugged each other. God Bless his soul.

I had the honor of learning from Fr. McGoldrick. I have always wondered where he ventured too. My heart is saddened at his passing. He is now in a better place.
