1935 - 2024

TOMASSO JAMES V. 88, of Strafford, formerly of Havertown and Yeadon passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 after a brief illness. Jim was predeceased by his beloved wife of 60 years, Joyce (nee Juliano). Also predeceased by parents Concetta (Colucci) and James J. Tomasso and by twin brother, William. He will be greatly missed by daughter Stephanie (Bryan) Oscarson as well as by his faithful cat, Shay. Also survived by sister, Marie Antoinette (Toni) Caldwell. A graduate of Temple University, Jim was a pharmacist like his father. In the 1980s, he purchased Dubowe Pharmacy in Southwest Philadelphia after working there for more than 25 years. He also worked at Lindley Drug in Olney (his father's store) and Squire Drugs in Springfield. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Main Line Health Hospice and to his compassionate caregivers Aminata, Janet, and Leticia who made his last days more comfortable. Relatives and friends are invited to call from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. in the Sacred Heart Chapel at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 35 Old Eagle School Rd., Strafford, PA 19087. Funeral Mass will follow at 11 A.M. Int. SS. Peter and Paul Cem.
