Dear Jason,
It gets harder and harder to get through each day without you. I can't believe it's been 6 years. I've tried really hard to forget that fateful day that you had to leave this earth but it just won't leave me. The hole in my heart will never close as long as I'm here on earth. I love and miss you my beautiful son. May God always keep you safe and may you be at peace.

Hi Jay!
Sorry I haven't written but it's been really hard since you crossed over. It's been 5 years and I still can't let you go. I'm so sorry. I don't get to see the boys much since Heather moved to the Hershey area and I miss them so very much. Colin is you all over, Ethan has your sense of humor and Christopher, well... he's Christopher. He is sooo funny; the terrible two's! I'm very sad without my beautiful son here on earth and I hope you are doing ok. If you can let me know in some way that your alright it will be much easier on me. If it weren't for Robin & Savannah I don't think I'd want to be here. Robin is doing so well, she is now a homeowner! And Savannah has grown into such a beautiful young lady. Mouthy of course but smart and beautiful. She's following right in your footsteps; 3.95 GDP, member of the National Honor Society, and she's chosen to do something in the medical field for her future. I'm so proud of her. Well got to close for now. Love you and miss you with all my heart.
Love you for eternity,
Mom

Hay uncle jay,
Its been a while since I have written to you. I know your still watching over me. I miss you so much more then ever. Im graduting next year from PE&T . not sure what college yet. Mommy, is doing the best she can and so is nana. Its just us three of us, Bella(dog) , Melvin(cat), Blueberry&Muffin(rats). Yes, I saved two rats from being eaten. They are the cutest and the boys love them too. Junior PROM is in 19days !! My dress is white and gold. Its so pretty, ill make sure to post pictures up after prom. Hi JR,
It's been 2 years since you've left us and my heart still has a big hole in it. I miss you so much it hurts. Every time I look at the boys I see you and my heart starts to break all over again, but I won't let it show. I love when they come to visit because I feel I've been given another chance to watch you grow all over again through them. They are so much like you, the Gemini twins, it's scary! Colin loves the military and plays video war games all the time and tells everyone he is going to be a soldier just like his daddy. Ethan is the clown! He keeps us laughing. And boy can he dance. I know, you hated to dance. They are such a pleasure to have around. Savannah is 14 now, beautiful and smart, and is graduating from Stella Maris this June and will be going to Hallahan. She wants to be a photographer for the Army and Hallahan has a good photography curriculum.
Some good news... your sister bought the house! She's going to have it remodeled. She's doing soooo good and I'm so proud of her. She's my rock!
Well, say hi to Pop Pop, Mom Mom, and Flos. Give them a big hug for me. I love you and miss you.
Love you forever,
Mom

Jason and Heather are a big reason why I am the person I've become: without them my life would be much different. Heather taught me that its not necessarily about returning the good, but about passing it on to others, and that is a lesson I strive to live by. I am grateful, and indebted, and hope that one day I can repay the kindness of the Phipps and Weiss families. Jason is one of the most honest and dedicated people I have met, and it was a privilege to be his student.

You taught me so much when I was in CAP. Without you and Heather me or Liz wouldn't of had a chance, both of you really helped us. I am happy the both of you ended up together and had such a beautiful family. I will keep you in my prayers. I will also have my class pray for you. Jason is the reason I went further into the childcare work. When I met the kid, he was the apple cheeked, big blue eyes peeping behind his mothers legs with a big smile, I knew then he was going to be a great kid. He and his sister would fight like cats and dogs but they would kill for each other.Loving Brother and Sister.I know this is going to be hard to think of the Phipps with out Jason ,However he have left us with 2 wonderful kids and their wonderful mother.God speed Heather and all the families including Carol Phipps (THE ROCK!)

Where does one begin when trying to capture the meaning of such a wonderful person? That's what i wondered as I sat down to write an entry and I have discovered that words alone will never convey what a phenomenal person Jason grew to be. I recall playing out front on our steps with GI Joes and Barbie's, yes Barbies! Haha. But that boy grew into the type of person we all wish be could be like: caring, loving, generous and committed. He went after his childhood dreams, achieved much and was never one to brag about any of it.
I only wish I could say I knew him as well as an adult as I did as a child, but I know enough about his life to know that he achieved more in 27 years than some of us will ever achieve even if we live to see 80. Anyone reading about Jason Phipps' life should take away one thing, the desire to live life to the fullest.
If there is anything i can do for Carol, Robin, Savanah or any of Jason's immediate family please do not hesitate to ask. He will be missed. Thank god he is, now, at peace.

To Heather & family;
My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of loss.
Jason will always be remembered for his quick wit and his get it done attitude. He did so much for so many and will not be forgotten. His contribution to Hawk and the Medic program garner him a place with the likes of Doc Hall, and Bix.
I hope you find the support and strength to carry on through your family and friends. They will always be close by.

Jason I'm so sorry that such a great man was given such a short life. I will always cherish our memories as cadets st squadron 1001. We always had fun on the nights my father would let us take the car and drive home. If he only knew the things we did with his car on 95! You always tried to make me less of a princess and more like you. I remember our camping trip when you yelled at me for putting my feet in the fire because they were so cold. Guess what Jay, I'm still a princess even will all your efforts! Rest in peace and from time to time look down at me and I'll give you a wink!

My fondest memories of Jason was when he was about 8 or 9 years old. His mother and I used to work in the same company. On one of those Christmas occasions, Carol gave me a beautiful brooch and she said that "Jason, picked that out specifically for you," (in one of those school fairs). It was so pretty, it went well with one of my work outfits, I used it all the time thinking about the story behind it. Jason, so young but such an old soul. He babysat my son (who was about 2 or 3) when I last visited with him and his family in South Philly. Very respectful and kind and thoughtful. I never met Heather and the boys, but I'm sure they are so devastated about Jason's passing; I feel so much pain for Colin and Ethan -- I would like them to know that their Dad was one of the best young men I've met. My son lost a role model.

Dear Jason,
What a wonderful person you were. You are your mother's heart, and she will honor you for the rest of her life. You did so much good, but there is more work for you to do in your next life. I truly wish that I was able to turn back the clocks of time. If I could, I would make sure that I would spend time with you and treasure every moment. Being your cousin, it makes me sad that I was unable to know you the way others did. I hope that I can spend time with your children, and get to know them in a way that I didn't with you. Know that your loved, and
that I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers forever.

Carol, Heather & Family, I am sure you all know there will never be enough ways to describe all the good that came of Jason as both a child/son, husband/father, and brother/uncle. I can still hear his voice asking to color with his "craylons" while babysitting him and Robin. Jason was Oregon Avenue's "Little Rambo". My dad "Frank" always got the biggest kick out of watching Jason play out front. I can only try to imagine the hurt that you and your families are faced with since his passing. I am sure everyone will keep Jason alive within their hearts forever.
To Jason, look down and shine upon those who need to be shined upon. I know you will give them the strength to move forward and live life to the fullest.

When we were little we always had our fights and boy did we have them but you were always my little brother and no one could say anything about you or hurt you or else they would have to answer to me but this time I was not able to take the hurt away and make things better and that is one thing I will regret for the rest of my life, not being able to make it better for you. You were always there for me and Savannah, you were the dad that her father could never be and I will always love you for that. There are so many thing that I want to say to you and I just do not know where to begin or end. Just know that no one could ever take you place in anything and you will always be remembered.
