Jeffrey Wortman

Wortman Jeffrey Passed away on March 11, 2022 (age 75). Born and raised in Baltimore, to parents Bertram and Mildred (nee Kaplan). Graduated Univ. of MD at 16, graduated magna cum laude from the UPenn School of Veterinary Medicine in 1969. Commissioned as a Captain in the US Army in Vietnam from 1970-71 and was awarded a Bronze Star upon Honorable Discharge. Dr. Wortman's career included Postdoctoral PhD at the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, a professor of Radiology at Michigan State University and UPenn School of Veterinary Medicine, where he taught for over 30 years. Jeff is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carol (nee Cancelmo), his children (Alicia, Laura and Stephen), his brothers (Dennis and Ken), and his grandchildren (Caroline, Luke, and Charlie), who affectionately referred to him as "Pop Pop." Dr. Wortman will be remembered by all for his kind heart, quick wit, gentle humor, and the love and generosity he shared with all who crossed his path.
