I am late to the game here, but I just found out today that our dear friend and colleague Jimmy Stone had passed away. I am saddened and devastated because Jimmy was always such a cheerful, friendly, laid back person and always gave advice when asked. He was one of the teachers who really helped to make my first school district workplace a warm,, supportive, fun work environment. I recall him telling me he had two sons. My heart goes out to them, as well as to the rest of his family and to his former workplace too.

Jimmy was a kind, sweet guy with a great sense of humor. He was a light in any room he entered. His love and talent in basketball will be remembered, as well as his always-ready smile. Much love to you, Lorene and your siblings.

I was honored to teach with Mr. Stone at Kensington Culinary HS and excited to see him occasionally since he left our building. His presence always lifted the spirits of his coworkers and he was a great teacher and mentor for his students. He will be sorely missed.

Jimmy and I were drummers in the North Pemiscot band. We traveled a lot of miles toghter keeping the beat for the "marching mustangs". I consider it the greatest honor to have had you as a friend
