Michael & Michelle, I pray for you to have peace. She was an incredible woman. I knew her before the two of you became one. You are in my prayers and if you need anything please let me know. She will be your loving angel and she was loved by so many on earth.

I am sorry for your loss.
I met Joan when she was first running as a candidate for city council at a Labor breakfast for us to meet and give her local labor union support.
She certainly impressed me and continued to have the support of her voters.
She was a great lady and said what was on mind.
She helped many people and I am sure they all remember her.
I have after all these years.
Again I am sorry for loss.

Although I've moved out of state, I will alwyas remember Joan. She always looked out for her people. She helped so many people. She was brutally honest which is something I admired in her.

It is with a heavy heart that I say, "Rest in peace Joan." I hope you are with Jack Carmody just like when you were committee people in Northeast Philly. You had Sophie, Patsy and me register for so many different parties. One time we went to vote and we didn't know what party we were. You helped everyone with a kind and loving manner. You were dynamic and had a great laugh. We love you Joan....our deepest sympathy to those left behind, now you are in Resurection with Jack Carmody your committee partner. Probably signing people up.
Sincere, deep, sympathy.

Joan, I remember when I first met you..we were on the corner waiting for the 66 trolly in 1973
We rode together quite a few time. You were very kind, always said hello and how are things.
May you rest in peace, and you'll be missed.

Joan helped so many without recognition. If you thought a problem was unsolvable, the solution was call Joan. And call Joan was what we did. She was never too busy for her people. If only there were more like her maybe the NE wouldn't be headed in the direction it is. Rest in peace, champion of the people.

So sorry to hear about Joan's passing... I was a school mate of Joan's when I lived on Miller Street , I got to see and talk with her at a few of the school reunions , she will be missed by many... not only as a friend , mother , grandmother... but for all the good she had done for the unfortunate ones who counted on her , she was a icon for her representation of the northeast part of Philly and those of us from there will never forget how she made our lives better... she was a fighter all the way . My family's hearts and prayers go out to Joan's family... rest in peace .

You will forever be in my heart! I love you dearly!
