Joanne Gaffney Obituary
JOANNE A. (nee DiSciullo), Aug. 29, 2005, of West Chester, PA, beloved mother of Shannon and Noelle Gaffney, sister of Richard and John J. DiSciullo; also survived by her beloved dog Shelby. Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass on Fri. at 10 A.M. at S.S. Peter and Paul Church, Boot Rd., East Goshen. Friends may call Thurs. evening 7-9 P.M. at THE DONOHUE FUNERAL HOME, 1627 WEST CHESTER PIKE (COR. OF HILLTOP RD.), WESTTOWN-WEST CHESTER. Int. S.S. Peter and Paul Cem. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to American Cancer Society, 1615 West Chester Pike, Suite 102, West Chester, PA 19382 would be appreciated.

Yesterday, while visiting my mother's grave, I noticed the DiSciullo family stone. I am saddened to know my childhood friend has passed away. I remember, so dearly, our friendship at St. Bernadette School that extended between Hampshire and Fairfax Roads. When I think back over those precious years, Joanne is a part of them... and always will be. God Bless.

I lived on Fairfax Road in Drexel Hill,Pa.only a few houses down from Joanne. We met when I was 8 yrs old and Joanne was 9 yrs old, we rode our bikes everywhere and Richie her brother tagged along with us. Summer's were long back then. We always had a good time doing nothing. I was sadden to hear about her passing. I will remember those happy childhood days on Fairfax Road. Rest In Peace, Joanne...my childhood friend.

My deepest sympathy on the passing of my friend Joanne. We became friends working at Crystal-X in Darby, PA when we were 18 years old and have been in touch with each other ever since. We had many good times together; taking tap, jazz and ballet together. Going to FLA together and many more fond memories. I will miss her very much.

I used to be a neighbor of Joanne's when she lived in Clifton Heights on Gia Circle. Noelle was a baby there and we lived on the 2nd floor. Joanne was always very nice and I enjoyed her company. God bless your family.
