JOHN J. JR., 69 years of age, of Drexel Hill, PA formerly of Phila., PA passed away on May 1, 2014. Beloved husband of Judith Rothman Breen (nee Carroll). Loving father of Jonathan Copley Breen. Dear brother of Patricia Oteri and Carol Hynes. Grandfather of Jake, Jordan, Carly and Liam Breen. Also survived by his stepdaughters Jeanine Rothman, Michelle Shirlow (David), Rachel Rothman (Jay) and his nieces and nephews. Relatives, friends and members of IATSE Local #8 Phila. are invited to his Viewing Tuesday Eve 6 to 8 P.M. and Wednesday 9 to 10 A.M. THE DONOHUE FUNERAL HOME, 8401 WEST CHESTER PIKE (cor. LYNN BLVD.), UPPER DARBY PA, 610-449-0300 followed by his Funeral Mass Wednesday 10:30 A.M. St. Dorothy Church, Drexel Hill, PA. Interment private. I met John whenI was in the telephone booth outside of "The Works", a sandwich shop owned by John and his brother-in-law, Tommy Oteri. John was waiting to use the phone. We had a lovely chat and became fast friends for the long-haul.

John brought a happiness and joy to my mom's life, like I have never seen before. For this, I am eternally grateful to this man, but it pains me to see their time together cut so short. This is an enormous loss for my mother and for our family. We will always remember John and hold him dear to our hearts. Rest easy, stepfather. I'm sorry we never had the chance to spend more time together.

so sorry for your loss, John and I were friends since our teenage years and worked together on numerous occasions. He was always kind and a good friend.
Last time I saw John in Phila. knowing I play piano he set me up on the concert stage at The Kimmel Center and I played in that beautiful hall for over an hour before we went to dinner at the press club which he would not let me pay for. A memory i will always cherish
