Rita Rose Palagruto

Palagruto Rita Rose Rita Rose Palagruto, age 95, passed away peacefully in Cape May Courthouse, NJ on February 19th 2026. Born in Philadelphia. She graduated from South Philadelphia High School. Rita worked as an administrative assistant, a retail sales associate and in her later years as an event assistant at the Philadelphia Convention Center. She loved reading James Patterson at the Sindia Pavilion on the boardwalk in Ocean City, NJ, trips to Atlantic City, a good meal with family and friends, a glass of rose, cheering on the Phillies and Eagles and a little limoncello. A Memorial Mass will be offered Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at 10 o'clock in the National Shrine of Saint Rita of Cascia, 1166 South Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19146. As a 30 year colon cancer survivor Rita was always hoping they would find a cure.
