Rosa Palagruto

Rosa (Rosina) Palagruto (nee Cerminara), 97, of Brookhaven, PA, passed away on October 8, 2024 with her sons by her side.
She was the beloved wife of the late Francesco (Frank) Antonio Palagruto.
Rose was born on October 5, 1927 in Maida, Catanzaro Italy, daughter of the late Raffaele and Carmela (Anania) Cerminara. She immigrated to Chester, PA in 1953 with her eldest son to join her husband then relocated to Brookhaven in 1967.
A devoted wife and mother of three (3) sons, Rose was a seamstress by trade and worked at various textile manufacturers in Chester, PA back in the 1960's, then worked part time for various other clothing stores such as Sears and Boscov's in the Granite Run Mall.
A devout Catholic, Rose was a longtime member of Our Lady of Charity Church since 1967.
She was a, good listener with a big heart and an always willing hostess, she enjoyed cooking and spent much of her time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frank in 1992, after 40 years of marriage, and by her dear son, Domenic (Mickey) Palagruto (1981), her two sisters, Angelina Fatiga (nee Cerminara) and her husband Pasqualino Cosmo Fatiga, and Concetta Dedato (nee Cerminara) and her husband Stephano Dedato. She is survived by two (2) Children: Ralph of Plymouth Meeting, PA and Frank (Kimberly nee David) of Chadds Ford, PA; six (6) Grandchildren, Gabrielle Durstein (Benjamin), Domenico (Christina), Francesco, Antonio, Giulia and Luciano; three (3) Great Grand Children and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Monday, October 14, 2024 from 9:30am - 10:45am at Our Lady of Charity Church, 231 Upland Rd. Brookhaven, PA 19015. Funeral Mass: Monday, October 14, 2024 at 11:00am at Our Lady of Charity Church. Burial: Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA 19064. In Lieu of Flowers donations can be made in Rosa's name to the Alzheimer's Association at https://act.alz.org/donate
