I knew Jack as a Trustee of Eisenhower Fellowships when I was its President, and as a Trustee of the Foreign Policy Research Institute where I am a Senior Fellow. He was always considerate and hearty. I hope his writing on the Indian Diaspora will find its way into print.

We have lost a good friend and a great guy. Jack was our boss at I.U. during a period of transition to a very succesful company at Ryder Truck Lines. He and his subordinate, Earl Hockenga, managed us very successfully for many years. Jack had a great sense of humor that he shared with everyone. Easy Thompson.

Well, I've just returned to Chestnut Hill after almost 40 years away, only to find Jack passed away 4 days ago. Sad. He was a great guy. He used to have a triangular plaque on his desk reading in large black letters, DECIDE. What almost no one knew was on the base, scrawled in pen was the word, PROCRASTINATE!!! Lovely man. Will be missed.
