John
I have been in Colorado with my job and I want to thank you for the call about your father.
As you know, your father and I go back to when he was just starting the family in the apartment up the street from me at Peach and Media. How time flies and I am very sorry that I never got to see your Dad but I am happy that I was able to talk to you and him before he passed.
Your Dad was not only a good friend but one of the best coaches I ever played for and he played a big part in my development as a basketball player and a person. I can just picture your Dad in that big basketball court in the sky with all the rest of the basketball elite talking about the good old days.
Above all, your Dad was not only a good coach but a truly fine person and I know that your he is now in a better place and free from all his suffering. You and the family have my deepest sympathy.

John, Jr.,
I heard of your father's passing late last week and I am so sorry for your family and also for the fact that I could not attend the service. I just underwent total knee replacement surgery and I am quite immoblie at the present.. At times like this, I find some comfort in surrounding myself with family and close friends.
It has been sometime since I have seen you John, but I think of you often. I remember your father as always having a pleasant smile for everyone he met in addition for his love of Temple University and all its teams. Specifically, I recall when Joe Klecko made his decision to attend Temple. What an electric time!
I last saw your father at Skip's Retirement Dinner in Willow Grove, PA and he was his usual congenial self treating and greeting me like I was a dignitary.
For now John, Take care and I hope this email finds you in good health. I have always wanted the BEST for you.
Your friend,
Joe Hindelang
