Uncle Johnny, I always loved coming to visit you and Aunt Marlene when I was younger. I was sad to hear of your passing. To Geri, sincere condolences. We have never met, but Cousin Lisa had told me about you and how you cared for Uncle Johnny after his stroke. To my cousins: Steven, Linda, and Lisa, im sad for your loss. My prayers are with you.

You are in our memories Uncle Johnny.

John was a great man. He always did his job at EDiS with a smile. He was friendly to both the office staff and our customers. He also took the time to drive my wife Cindy to her cancer treatments at Fox Chase when I was not able to. He was a great role model and was a real friend to all of us. I am glad he had many happy years in Florida in retirement. He deserved it. We will always remember John fondly.

John, thanks for playing touch football and wiffel ball out in the street with us kids on Devonshire Rd. in Fairfax after school everyday. We were very young teenagers and you were in your mid thirties but you gave us all a run for our money. We thought it was great that an "old guy", with a young family of his own, would spend his time with us. But we know you had just as much fun as we did.Right?
Let's see, there was Danny Karvounis, Fred and Dave Dill, Gary Christiansen, Sam Keenan, your son Steven, myself-Tom Kapolka and of course you John. Fun times had over 40 years ago, but not fogotten. Living in the same house from my childhood, when I look out my front door now towards the road, I can almost see you throwing a touchdown pass again, just like those care free days as a child. Thanks for your friendship, taking the time and being a great role model to all us kids.

It is with great sorrow to hear the news about John. A great guy. Memories will serve us well but getting narrower by the day.Geri, thanks for for the care you gave John all these years.Sorry, I never met you but miles and other situations keep getting in the way. John's children, I know will be very strong-just like their dad. And to all my cousins words in these situations are hard to come by. I'm sure you understand our feelings. Love, Richard and Pauline.
