John Benjamin "BEN" Flexner

Flexner John Benjamin "BEN" John Benjamin Flexner known to his loved ones as Ben, passed away on April 15, 2025, in Philadelphia, PA, at the age of 44. Born in Ypsilanti, Michigan, Ben lived in Oregon and New Mexico during his early years before making his home in Philadelphia. He studied at the University of New Mexico and graduated from Wilmington University, pursuing a life marked by curiosity, creativity, and compassion. Ben was a man of deep passions and strong convictions. He was committed to health and fitness-an avid weightlifter, cyclist, and runner who inspired those around him to live actively and intentionally. His love of music, cooking, travel, and video games brought joy both to his life and to the many friends with whom he shared those interests. He was also a devoted companion to his beloved cats, whose presence always brought him comfort. Ben is survived by his loving spouse, Robyn O'Brien; his mother, Deborah Coffey; his father, John Lindsey Flexner; and his brother, Dylan Belnavis-Flexner. He leaves behind a wide circle of friends, chosen family, and those whose lives were enriched by his kindness, his humor, and his unwavering authenticity. A Memorial Service to celebrate Ben's life will be held on Tuesday April 22, 2025 12:00 P.M. at the LAUREL HILL WEST CONSERVATORY, 215 Belmont Ave, Bala Cynwyd, PA.
