JOHN JOSEPH, age 82 passed away peacefully in the Lord Saturday, July 5, 2014 at his home in Galloway, New Jersey. John was born October 3, 1931 in Philadelphia, the son of John and Catherine (Finnaren) Fossett. He was a graduate of West Catholic High School '49 and LaSalle College '54, and served his country in the United States Army (11th Airborne Division). He married Carol Graff January 4, 1958, and was blessed with six children. Carol preceded him in death August 12, 1994. He married Barbara Borrelli June 18, 2005. Barbara and his children were at his side at his death.
John was also preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Catherine (Garraty). He is survived by his daughter, Mary; his sons, John, Tony (Kay), Andy, Joe (Laurie), and James; granddaughters, Sarah and Megan; and grandson Elliot. Funeral Services will be held at Noon Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 591 New Jersey Ave., Galloway NJ. A time of Visitation will be held from 10 A.M. until Service time at the Church. Interment will be at Danville National Cemetery in Danville IL. Services entrusted to WIMBERG FUNERAL HOME in Galloway NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to West Catholic Preparatory High School, 4501 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia PA 19139.
