I will always remember Mr. Kelly as a man of high principles, integrity and spirituality. Mr. Kelly was always so welcoming. I remember how he enjoyed receiving hugs from my 3 little girls. After a visit to the Kelly home last spring, my 7 year old daughter told me how much she enjoyed her time with the Kelly family. She told me that she "could feel the love there". When I watched her with Mr. Kelly that day, I remember thinking how nice it was for my daughters, who have no access to a grandfather. Within a visit, Mr. Kelly had the ability to show my girls a glimpse of the best in a generation with which they will have little first hand exposure. Mr. Kelly was the epitome of a distinguished man's man who was never afraid to admit that his heart could be easily touched. I will remember how Mr. Kelly would frequently walk us out to the door, making sure we would get in our car safely, etc. He was always a gentleman. His strength was in his love for his family, his strong faith in God and his commitment to his values. I was always struck by the fact that however I may have entered the Kelly home, I knew one thing for sure: I would always leave their house feeling better than I did when I walked in it. Mr. Kelly may no longer be physically present for future visits to the Kelly home but I have a feeling I will still feel his presence there. Mr. Kelly's legacy will continue to thrive because his example touched so many. It is interesting to see how one life touches another. It truly is the little things in life that matter most, the small gestures, the shared laughter, formed memories. Those are the moments that will still fill the Kelly house. To Mrs. Kelly (one of the sweetest women ever), my dear friend Carolyn (since our Villanova days), Cathy and all of the Kelly family, you have my sympathy and prayers for your tremendous loss. I am still going to look forward to our visits however because I know your husband / dad will be there in his spirit and in each of you. Thank you for sharing your husband / father with my girls and I. You are all blessings in our lives. With Love, Jennifer, Brielle, Eliana and Lillia XOX...
