Dr. McKeown treated me twice for a collapsed lung, ending in an operation in 1971. He was a kind and gentle man. I was a student at Temple University at the time. Knowing I had little funds, he charged me $375 for the operation, including a parietal pleurectomy & resection of a lobe. I always wanted an opportunity to thank him for his generosity. And to boot, a fellow West Catholic graduate.
God Bless John McKeown MD.

Too the McKEOWN family, "Paul, John, Kathy and Carolyn" Your Father is now joined with your Mom. The first memory I had of your Dad' was 8 years of age I had a little surgery on my left hand. Your father ''When we would visit" would 1ST thing take me to his Study and take my Bandages off, to see how well it was Healing. That memory of your Dad, will be with me forever. What a gentle man, his calm voice used to put me in a 'Calm-State'' of mind leaving me ''feeling everything will be OK! ''Each one of you are such special (Big) Kid's are in our Prayers. Love your cousin, Peter
