I have worked at the USDA with John for many years. He was good and kind man. He'll be very much missed here. My deepest sympathies to the family.

While I am be the first to contribute to this forum, I certainly will not be the last to take a moment to remember the kindness, decency and overall goodness of John Pensabene...or PeePop as my two little girls liked to call him. It is often said that it is not what you accumulate on this earth in terms of material things that ultimately judges the quality of an individual, but what you leave behind.
PeePop, I will always remember the kindness that you bestowed upon Emma & Abigial (whether it was talking them by the hand and helping them, and Michelle, on a busy and cold morning or simply the smile and cheerfulnees you imparted upon them just as their day was beginning).
While this is indeed a time of great sorrow and immeasurable grief, you can take comfort that the memories you provided to so many will be your legacy...one of a good friend, considerate human being and most importantly a superb family man.
God Bless You PeePop.
