John and family--- I will remember you are my Mass, on July 29, 2024. This reminder that came in my email--- is a good thing. We must NOT forget those who have died. John was so good to me during my years at Reading Central Catholic-- that included living at St. Pauls for 3 years as my residence. Good memories all around God is good. John, may you rest in the Lord's peace! Tom

Linda,

I am so sorry for your loss!

John was one of the most generous priests I have ever lived with. I spent 3 years with him at St. Pauls as a resident-- my last 3 years teaching at Reading Central Catholic. When I first moved in, he noticed I didn't have a proper desk for my computer--- the next day--- when I came home from School--- a proper computer desk was assembled in my room. My father was disabled from a stroke, and John would wait in the freezing cold--- outside St. Paul's---- so he could usher my parents into the garage-- and help my dad and his wheelchair into the rectory. My parents loved him. He had special love for the Carmelite Sisters--- and took 2 station wagons full of food and candy to them--- twice a year, at Christmas and Easter, if not more. I could go on. May he rest in peace! Be assured of my prayers, Linda and family! Rev. Msgr. Tom Baddick

The things I will always remember about John...you always had a smile on your face. You loved being with the kids, anyone's kids. You did kind things for my sister Suzanne, like throwing big parties for her special birthdays. You told us wonderful stories about growing up in Philadelphia as a kid. You shared your DeSales University stories with Amanda. You loved really good Italian food and knew all the best Italian restaurants in the area, even in South Jersey where we live. You were a good man, John, and a wonderful brother-in-law. No more illness or pain. You are home now. God bless.

Monsignor, I want to thank you for helping my mom like you did, even thought we didnt see eye to eye on things at times, you came to my moms aid when she so desparetly needed it and put our differences aside. Thank you so much for being a true man, a decent human being and a professional. You have no idea on how I appreciated what you did.
