Aunt Muriel,Cathy,John,Bill,& families,We were truly saddened when we received the call about Uncle John. Our love and sympathy is with you all.My recent memory of Uncle John was his taking the hard journey from PA to NJ to bid farewell to my Mom. I remember him having a little trouble standing, but he still came for us and his #1 fan.My fondest memory of Uncle John was the beautiful letter he sent to me right before my wedding day.He was sorry he could not make it, but it was the fall(of 74) and it meant travel for my "lonely, tiring, fast aging Uncle." He did say that with work marriage could become a source of unending meaning + joy.He added it was worth working for.I soon found that to be true.He treasured his family as they him.I hope memories of your loved ones help to comfort you.I hope they are all sharing memories .Love,Debbie,Ed,Edward,+Alexis

Dear Aunt Muriel, Cathy, Johnny, Billy and Family,

Mickey’s, Kathi’s and my love, thoughts and prayers are with you. It is with great sadness that I write to send our sincere sympathy. Please know that you are in our hearts.

I personally have so many fond memories of my visits to Coopersburg. I vividly recall Cathy setting the table and nonchalantly wiping the plates off before placing them on the table, when I asked what she was doing she calmly showed me the tiny ants crawling on the plates. As I looked horrified, being such a city girl, I remember the wonderful sound of laughter. Little did I know that years later I would be living in Bethlehem NJ becoming a “country” girl myself.

I recall diligently watching a plant that Uncle John had that flowered very briefly and beautifully. When it bloomed it was wonderful and I will always remember sharing that moment. So many more memories live in my heart.

As we go forward in this very difficult year what I have learned is that I will always miss those I loved who are no longer with me but I find I am so very grateful and thankful for having loved them.

Take Care and with much love,

Sheila

Our thoughts and prayers are with John's family at this time. John was a man who sat comforatbly with kings and peasants and made each feel wise. He shared his intellect and himself generously and always graciously. The world was a richer place when he was in it and, even after his passing, is the better for his sojourn here. We are blessed to have known him and we will miss him.
