I spent alot of time talking on the phone to John back in the laste 1990s. At the time, I was a social worker at Catholic Social Services, and John and I were working together for the benefit of his mother, Jennie. What a pleasure John was to work with! Always ready to answer questions, picking up the phone whenever I called. I've been with the Saint Monica Eldercare Program since 2003; I had lost touch with John and didn't relaize he was connected with Saint Monica parish; as I recall Jennie lived around 25th and Ritner.
I'm sorry that I didn't have the pleaseure of reconnecting with John. Please accept my condolences. I was able to slip in to Saint Monica Church near the end of John's funeral Mass. My sympathy to all of you. Bonney DosSantos

Our hearts are heavy with the passing of John, but full with the wonderful memories we will carry with us forever.
Long "porch talks" at the campground in summer, and "checkin' in" calls to Fl in the winter, John was always concerned and considerate.
These times will never be forgotten, nor will he.
A "one of a kind" guy, we will miss you deeply, John.

I'll never forget him telling jokes at my wedding and making my childhood memorable during block parties on Juniper St. and Sigel St. What a great guy who I will always carry in my heart and will always make me smile when I think of him! I can still hear him calling me Rocky Balboa :) We are all lucky to have known him. His soul is amongst us forever. A warm embrace to you Patty, Heather and John.
