Joseph Ashenbrenner Obituary

Ashenbrenner Joseph Leo Resident of Willow Grove, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2024, after 98 years of living his life admirably, lovingly and with strong faith in his Catholic religion. He was a U.S. Navy veteran who served in World War II. He retired after a long career as a business owner in the HVAC industry. He was born and raised in Philadelphia and attended Northeast Catholic High School and Spring Garden Institute where he studied mechanical engineering. Joe was married for 54 years to his beloved Eileen and devoted much time fostering a rich and vibrant family life with his children and many relatives. He was a strong, caring father, devoted husband, and hard-working soul who loved his family, faith, career and lest we not forget his precious Philly sports teams. All who knew Joe will remember a special connection with him as his genuine interest in others was one of his many strengths. Joseph is preceded in death by his spouse, Eileen (Carr) Ashenbrenner, his parents Mary (Hanlon) and Reinhart Ashenbrenner, his sisters Alberta, Irma, Jeanne and Sr. Janet Ashenbrenner RSM, his brothers Roger and Rev. Robert Ashenbrenner, OSFS. He is survived by his 5 children Eileen Lightner and son-in-law John, Kathleen Totaro and son-in-law Bill, Joseph Ashenbrenner, Karen Foley and son-in-law Patrick, and Thomas J. Ashenbrenner and daughter-in-law Sherri. He is also survived by his 15 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and his brother John Ashenbrenner and sister-in-law Carol. Funeral Mass Saturday, March 23, 2024, 11 A.M., St. David Roman Catholic Church, 316 Easton Rd., Willow Grove, PA 19090. Relatives and friends are invited to the Viewing at the Church Sat. from 9:30 A.M. to 11 A.M. Int. Resurrection Cem., 5201 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, PA 19020 Condolences may be sent to the Ashenbrenner family at Karen Foley, 1229 Orchid Road, Warminster, PA 18974.
