Joe was a great guy he always made me and brother Joe laugh. He taught me how to play some card games. He spoke to me in diffrent languages. (never had a clue what he was saying.) We had some fun down the shore. We will always miss him.
I am sorry your loss.
Love,

Dear Julie and family,
No one could keep the crowd laughing like Joe. I will miss him at the annual shore get togethers. Whenever I have Peach Sorbet, I will think of Joe.

Julie, Kev and Mark - I’ve been remembering so many happy times with Joe. The Caribbean vacations, singing with the guitaristas in Mexico, the Jersey shore, and the annual White Elephant party, where the discussions could get very loud. I remember his famous line: “You know how I hate to complain, but…”. He was like a member of our family. We will miss him very much. He wasn’t very religious, but he was a good man, and I’m sure he will meet my brother John in heaven and continue with one of their many arguments.
Joe, may God hold you in the hollow of His hand.
I will keep Joe in my heart and in my prayers.
Love,
Theresa

Kevin and Mark - you have our sincere condolences. No matter how long we get to live with our parents, we never want to let them go. So don't. Live every day like your Dad would want you to -- do it to honor him -- let the world learn of your Dad through your words and deeds. Tell and re-tell all of the stories about your Dad so that someday his great-great grandchildren will feel like they really knew their wonderful Grandpop Joe.
Julie, I don't pretend to know how you feel losing Joe after so many years together. May your memories be your solace. Know that you are in our prayers.
May God enfold you all in the mantle of His love. (excerpted from an Irish prayer).
Sincerely,
Joe & Kathleen Maertzig

Dear Julie, Kevin & Mark,
We are very sorry for your loss.
Joe was like a member of our family. We'll always remember his "jokes", impersonations and of course our many debates, discussions and arguements covering religion, politics and sports (I still say Larry Bowa was a good manager!)!
I'm sure the Pembrokes will give him a warm welcome upon his arrival in heaven!
Take care and God Bless you all.
Love,
Tricia, Tim & Family
