Joseph Gruninger Obituary
JOSEPH F., Aug. 7, 2006 formerly of N. Randolph St. and recently of Willow Grove. Beloved husband of JoAnn (nee DeDoncker) Devoted father of Julia (Celestino) Rivera, Joseph (Maria M.),Jeffrey (Shannon), James (Marilyn), Jeremy (Maria C.) and the late Joan. Sadly missed by 12 grandchildren, his brother Michael, sister-in-law Mary, brother-in-law David and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Joe graduated from St. Peter's grade school, St. Joseph Prep, Class of 1953, St. Joseph University, Class of 1957. He was President of the Good Shepherd Society, Secretary and Treasurer of the Knights and Young men Beneficial Society, Member of the Board of Directors of Tioga Franklin Savings Bank, Member of St. Peter's parish council and Lector at St. Peter Church for 30 yrs. Relatives and friends invited to viewing Thursday eve 7 to 9 P.M. TOMASZEWSKI FUNERAL HOME INC. 2728-30 E. Allegheny Ave....215 739 6624 (Aleg. exit I95, cor. Salmon St.) and viewing Friday 9 A.M. St. Peter the Apostle lower church followed by Funeral Mass 10 A.M. Inter Holy Sepulchre Cem. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.

So sorry to hear about your loss, Mr. Gruninger was a great person. I can fondly remember many happy times at Saint Leonards and the Father -Daughter dances. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

Mr. G, I always remembered playing strategic rummy with you and your family in the Dining room wish I still had those directions for that game. And of course the little back and forths about what should be worn to church. But, I always respected you. Thanks for being a good friend to my mom she will miss her EAGLES partner.
