MATKOWSKYJOSEPH, 96 yrs. old on April 27, 2016 at Sunrise Lafayette Hill, formerly of Christ the King Parish. Joe was a veteran of World War II, Army Air Corps and served in Normandy, Fr. and a retired Court Officer from Phila. Family Court with 17 yrs. of service. Beloved husband of the late Rose (nee Morelli) Matkowsky. Devoted father of Joseph (Carolyn) Matkowsky, Elaine (Dave) Fischer and Diane (Mace) Cutler. Loving grandfather of Joseph, Paul, Peter and Matthew. Cherished great grandfather of Carly, Gabrielle, Katie, Jackson and Theodore. Brother of Michael Matkowsky survived by nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing in Church Tuesday after 10 A.M. followed by his Funeral Mass 11 A.M. at St. Philip Neri Church, 437 Ridge Pike Lafayette Hill, PA 19444 Int. Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please send donations in Joe's name to Fisher Foundation, 111 Rockville Pike, Rockville, MD. 20850.

Dear Elaine, Dave, Diane, Mace and the Matkowsky/Fischer Family,
Both Paul and I were so honored to know your dad, and Rose. I loved to come to Elaine and Dave's house for holidays, birthdays, and Mr Matkowsky was always such a delightful soul to see, and be around. He was an awesome father, husband, and I loved how he interacted with all his grandchildren. My husband, loved talking to him about Normandy, and he was so proud of Joe for his service to our country. Even after the passing of his beloved Rose, he still stayed strong, and was a great presence at many celebrations.
My thoughts and prayers go out to you all, and I pray that God gives you the strength that your Dad showed us all.
