Dear Joe for some reason I thought of you today. Your spirit was infectious.... But in a GREAT way. I´ll never forget how much you loved to dance and that big belly laugh of yours and the stories the people told in the remembrances in the legacy notes that I just read even though it´s 17 years later. I remember the Chicago concert and how we were both trying out sing each other! You were always so good to me and treated me like gold and may you be showered with every blessing wherever you are I know you are at peace~ Kathleen

This is actually from all the Mount Airy Zaambies for the super Weissman we all knew and will never forget.
From the days of drinking Boone's farm wine (98 cents a bottle)before the Tower Theate and Main Point concerts and saving some for the shore to the days of playing basketball at La Salle College to the simple nights of trying to play music in my apartment with Donald Mason and not being kicked out for good, Joe always had the kind of laugh that was radiant and contagious but most of all real.
I never saw any one sleep in a bathtub in a cold night down the shore and be so comfortable and warm when compared to us who were in bed and COLD!!!! that is the kind of soul that was inside Joe.
My condolences to Pete, Allyson, Pam and his family from our old neighborhood, the best place ever, Mount Airy.....
Joe My Man...there is a Basketball Court in HEAVEN.

When I think of Joe, I think of the most generous, and kindest man that I have ever known. Nothing was ever too much or too hard for him to do for someone else. When anyone needed a helping hand, Joe was there. Joe, you will be forever missed.

I would like to offer my condolences to Pam, Allison and Peter and to the rest of the Weiss family.
Joe was a great friend and competitor among all of the sports that we played back in Mount Airy, as well as, the good times we had like our trip to Watkins Glen, NY (with Don), overnight campout at the Spectrum (with Don) to get Rolling Stones tickets, and our trips to Tony's Mart in Somers Point (with Don and Riccardo). I will always cherish those memories.
