What a gift to have known Karen. I still remember her long ago plays ---often pretty darn stunning--- on the hockey fields and basketball courts at MMA. Later, there were the stories of her daughters. Shall we say she was oh just maybe a little proud of them. Perhaps the only souls she adored as much or more were her grands. And Karen, how delish that you decided they should call you "honey." And here's a moment that I hope might bring on a smile. When Karen and I stopped in a 7-11 for coffee, ( I had come up from Miami and she, amazingly generous, had offered to drive me here and there), Karen quite rightly scolded me for leaving way too much tip money. I shall miss you, my friend.

My thoughts and prayers to the family. I worked with Karen for many years. She was so kind and thoughtful, and proud of her family. She will be missed.

Lauren and Katie, we are so sorry to hear of the passing of your Mom. Nothing prepares you for the loss of the glue that holds us all together. Know that she is watching over you and your beautiful families.
In time the grief will subside and the fun and joyful memories will fill your hearts and minds!

As the youngest cousin of my Drueding Family cousins, Katie and I always appreciated Karen's support of Dustin Sweeney, our son with Autism. In typical Karen manner, she did it very quietly and was not looking for anything in return - total and genuine support. It was appreciated.
In addition, Karen led the Cousins in understanding the Drueding legacy in Philadelphia, all the way back to Northern Germany. As a fan of history and legacy, it was appreciated by me.

Karen sat in front of me through 6 years at Mater/Merion. We had lots of good fun there, especially in Math class, where she was the uncontested brightest star. Accept my condolences at this sad time for you all.
