Katherine CHOMENTOWSKI Obituary

CHOMENTOWSKI Katherine "Kate" (nee Hampton) Age 82, peacefully left this earth on August 28, 2025, at Vitas Hospice in Philadelphia. She was predeceased by her parents Herbert "Herb" Hampton and Emma (nee Metcalfe). She is survived by her loving husband Andrew and three children Katherine "Kitten" (Harold Snyder), Helen (Matthew D'Imperio) and Andrea "Munggie" (Brian Powell), three grandchildren Matthew John D'Imperio, Jr. (Alicia Harris), Catrenia D'Imperio, Andrew Snyder, and one great grandson Matthew Liam D'Imperio; also survived by five sisters and one brother. She will also be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, her extended family and the Fishtown community. Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing Thursday, September 4, 2025, 12:00 P.M. to 1:45 P.M. BURNS FUNERAL HOME, 1428 E. Columbia Ave., Philadelphia, followed by her Service 2:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, you can volunteer at your local animal shelter or donate to your favorite animal charity; or donate to the Alzheimer's Association on her behalf at - alz.org

Kate was a wonderful Mom, Wife, Friend, Neighbor & Community Activist! She will be remembered for her Love, Kindness, Thoughtfulness & Fierce Loyalty to her family, friends and neighbors. She fought tirelessly for the underdog, on the side of righteousness. It was a privilge to have known her. Kate will never be forgotten & will be sorely missed. Hugs & prayers for her family.
