Larry Harkins was the consummate family man. His friendly visits to my dad, Dr. Joe, began with a warm smile, and invariably steered toward a proud update for one of his children or grandchildren, be it birthday, sports event, career or family news. He relished his time with his family. He will be genuinely missed.

Dear Ronnie & Family:
I am so sorry for your loss. I know the last 2 Years have been difficult for all. Larry was always so full of knowledge about so many things. He also was always willing to help with any thing that needed some repair. We had many conversations about so many things. Most of all when those grandkids started coming, his face would light up about their acomplishments. He leaves a legacy of a great family and will be missed by many.

Larry was the true concept of what it meant to lead a family. He always put his wife, children and family before himself. He always kept the troubles short and the laughs long. I will miss his loving banter with his one and only Ronnie. To her him say 'hey Ron', was to understand his love for her.
