LISA BOOTH Obituary

BOOTH
LISA GAIL (nee Horwitz)

Daughter of Joan Horwitz (née Berman) and Arthur Horwitz, died in the presence of her family early in the morning on May 16, 2018, at the age of 56. She is survived by her loving husband, Henry, and children, Nicholas and Laura. Lisa's fiery intelligence, spirit, and sense of justice made her many dear friends. Born in June 1961, she had many escapades in her childhood house on Leopard Road in Rydal, and travels with her mother and godmother, whom she adored, in Europe and by the sea. She graduated from Temple University in 1990 with a degree in Political Science and began studies for a master's degree.
Lisa met her beloved Henry at two mutual friends' wedding; they married in 1988. Lisa moved the family from Narberth to six acres in Chester County in 1999. The years that followed were full of horses and a menagerie of other animals. For years, the family was devoted to Sunday afternoons afield with the Skycastle French Hounds. Lisa loved Linda and Paul McCartney, lobster, her backyard birds, A.A. Milne's stories about Winnie-the-Pooh, and so much more. The world did not hold up to her goodness; she will be missed beyond words.
A Service will be held at her home at Quiet Stream on Saturday, May 26th, at 12 Noon. Flowers can be sent there.

Arr. by THE DONOHUE FUNERAL HOME, 43 W. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown, PA 19335, 610-269-3080.

I knew Lisa from her salon that she visited. I just learned of her passing. She was , without a doubt, one of the most caring and dynamic people I have ever known. Her pride in her children was enormous. I felt like it was a privilege to be in her company. She left a lasting impression with people she met through her intellect and unconditional kindness. We also had a lot of laughs due to her wonderful sense of humor. She was one in a million!!!!

This is such sad news. Lisa was so welcoming and full of life when I first met her in 2008. And so shall her memory continue on.
