Margaret Carbonaro Obituary

CARBONARO MARGARET M. (NEE MICHIKO YOSHIOKA) Margaret M. Carbonaro, (nee Michiko Yoshioka), a family matriarch, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2025, in Voorhees, New Jersey, at the age of 92. Born on September 28, 1932, in Tokyo, Japan, Margaret's life was full of experiences that spanned continents and cultures. Margaret's early years were spent in Tokyo where she was born and raised. She met and married the late Dr. Emanuel A. Carbonaro a bond that lasted 65 years. Together, they embarked on a life of service, with Emanuel's 11-year career in the Air Force as a Dental Surgeon taking them to various locations, mostly Japan, California, and New Jersey. The Carbonaro family eventually settled in Mt. Holly, New Jersey, where Margaret raised her daughter and sons: Marie Holmen (Wil), Joseph Carbonaro (Hope), Michael Carbonaro (Dorothy), and Paul Carbonaro (Roya) and she was blessed with 2 grandchildren, Dean Holmen and Eva Carbonaro as well as two great granddaughters, Sophia and Allison. Margaret is also survived by her family in Japan. Margaret bought a special satellite dish to watch Japan TV and keep her connected to her birthplace. Her extensive garden was a testament to her green thumb, where she grew a variety of vegetables. Margaret was also a gourmet cook, known for her delicious Japanese and Italian dishes that brought family and friends together around the table. Relatives and friends are invited to the memorial service on Saturday May 3 at 1 P.M. at THE BRADLEY FUNERAL HOME, 601 Rt. 73 South at Evesham Road, Marlton.
