Marie O'Brien Obituary
MARIE E. (nee Wilkins). Suddenly, on July 5, 2008, at age 37, along with her unborn child. Beloved wife of David J. O'Brien of Havertown, beloved and loving mother of her 3½ year old Marie Grace, daughter of Joan and the late George Wilkins, daughter-in-law of Francis and Theresa O'Brien, sister of William Butaitis, Kathy Johnson, Joan Gormley, Michelle Cox, George Wilkins IV and the late Robert Butaitis. Relatives and friends are invited to THE FUNERAL HOME OF JOHN STRETCH, E. Eagle and St. Denis Rds., Havertown, Thurs. 6 to 9 PM and Fri. after 8:30 AM followed by Mass of Christian Burial, Annunciation BVM Church, 401 Brookline Blvd. at 10 AM. Int. SS. Peter and Paul Cem. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Marie Grace O'Brien Education Fund, c/o Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union, 1974 Sproul Rd., Broomall, PA 19008 Attn Frank Sieck would be appreciated.

I was my pleasure to have known Ree she was a beautiful spirit with a giving heart Always has been always will be as far as I'm concerned .My memories of her are all good ,caring for and about people was her passion When ever I saw her she asked about my health reminding me to take care of myself. Dave,
I can't begin to tell you how my heart is aching for you, little Marie, your Mom and Dad , for Natalie, Jason and my grandchildren and for all of the O'Brien family for the loss of your Marie. I feel blessed to have had Marie touch my life. She was a gentle, kind and very loving person. And there was never a question of the love that she had for you, little Marie and everyone in her life.
I know that life changes in a split second and even though you feel as though you don't know which end it up or have no idea of what or why this all happened, I know without a doubt that God is holding you in the palm of His hand. Please take comfort in knowing that God is with us always! If there is anything that I can do, all you have to do is ask!

I just wanted to express my deepest sympathy for your loss!! Marie & I became friends @ dance class thru our daughters. She was truly one of the sweetest people I've ever met, kind & sincere!! I looked forward to seeing her each wk,along with precious Lil' Marie. I am glad that our paths crossed! I will miss her!!Please know that your family will be our my prayers!

Dear Dave: our hearts are so heavy; our eyes are always full of tears. Your family especially you’re Mom have expressed their great pain and loss. While talking with your Mom (through her tears and sudden smiles) she shared stories and many wonderful memories about her beautiful daughter-in-law (more like a daughter) Marie. Everyone said that their lives are better because of Marie she was truly a gift.
David you are quiet and unassuming you have this enormous heart that truly loves his family as Marie did; they will always be there for you. So many people care about you and want to help; so many hearts are breaking and the tears will flow for a long time. So many people love and care about you and while your loss is so unbearable just remember that many hearts have been touched and will never forget your Wonderful Wife Marie and want to be there for you; just reach out, those who love you want to help.

Dear Dave and little Marie -
I was stunned and saddened to hear of the sudden loss of Marie. She was such a bright light in the lives of so many. I remember her from High School and office classes we took together. She always made me laugh and when I found out she married Dave, I thought that was the best match around. My sister-in-law worked with Marie and has kept me abreast of her through the years. Dave I am so sorry. If there is anything I can do for you, please contact me. You are in my thoughts and prayers. May God rest her soul and the angel she carries with her always.
