I was Mr Deeney's nurse for a short while It was such a pleasure to be in the presence of someone so kind and with such of wealth of wisdom and knowledge.We formed a friendship which I will always cherish .I will miss him.Sending condolences and prayers to his family

Farewell to my ole friend Martin. He was undoubtedly one of a kind! I and my Perry Reunion Association members vividly recall his wonderful presentations about U S Navy history and so much more. He and his wife Fran will always be fondly remembered and sincerely missed at any and all future Perry Reunion Asdociation meetings. Rest in Peace, Martin!

So very sorry to hear that Martin has passed, he was a wonderful man. My wife and I always looked forward to spending time with Martin at the USS Perry reunions. My som Michael met Martin at one of the Jacksonville reunions; they formed a bond and communicated often. Really going to miss Martin.
