Just learned of Dr. Koutcher's passing. My deepest sympathies to Bernice and his family. A mentor for me for the practice of medicine including patient care, interactions with patients' families, interactions with health care providers, student and resident education, and healthcare administration. A model physician.

Doctor Koutcher was not only a great doctor but also a great person. He was a person who was self sacrificing who cared about making people feel better. He was what we call of the old school. Other doctors could learn much by his dedication to the vow he made. God bless this marvelous man and decent human being. He will be missed by me forever.

I was shocked and deeply saddened by the news of Dr. Koutchers passing, I just found out this morning.
He was one of the nicest and most professional doctors I have ever met. I've known him since 1995, my mother was his patient and then in 2012 I became his patient. His gentle manner and reassuring
demeanor will forever be remembered and appreciated by my family.
My thoughts go out to both his wife as well as all other family members during this time of grieving.
He was a true gentleman who touched so many people's lives over the years, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

My grandmom, mother and I just found out he is no longer with us. We are sad to hear and send our best to the family. My grandma was a patient for many years and we really appreciated all the helped he had offer her. He was a wonderful doctor and it will be hard to find another doctor that cares the way he did. There was always a long line in his practice for a good reason. His compassion and dedication to his patient was excellent. Thank you Dr. Koutcher. May the Angel and all the goodness in the world be with you wherever you are.

Bernice and Family
I was saddened to learn of Marty's passing. Just found out. We shared many patients together and they all loved him. He will be missed by all of his many colleagues and patients.

Dr. Koutcher was not only a great doctor but also was my buddy!! We developed a great patient/doctor relationship since 2012. I just found out today and feeling so sad. Rest In Peace Doc. You will surely be missed. My sincere condolences to the family.

Dr Koutcher was amazing!! I was a patient for 5yrs and appreciated his kind attentive manner. Never rushed , answered questions. He was a gift to his patients always listened . I will keep his family in my prayers and remember what a wonderful Doctor he was!! Also want to thank his staff on Ritner St. God bless you all.

To the family of Dr. Martin Koutcher....it is with a heavy heart that we heard of his passing. Dr. Koutcher. Myself and my husband Michael we long time patience if Dr. Kouthcer. He saved my husbands life and we were and will be forever indebt to him. We have tried to find out how he was numerous times when we heard of what happened to him. We loved him dearly. I was a patient, and thought of Dr. Koucher as excellent and thorough. I liked him as well as his staff, and considered him and his staff as friends. Going to appointments was always sort of a reunion each time.

Dr. Koutcher was an incredible physician and kind and gentle man. He was always there with needed advice. He was a true mentsch. I have known him since 1978, and have such fond memories of him. He will be sorely missed by the many patients and colleagues whose lives he has touched. May his memory be a blessing.

Dr Koutcher was an amazing physician, mentor and most importantly friend. He had the vision to hire the first physician assistant at Methodist Hospital and eventually expanded the group.. I think t's safe to say he positively impacted thousands of lives.
He always took the time to educate, advise or share a laugh. Ill always remember Dr Koutcher laughing and smiling. Ill truly miss him.

All of us at Methodist Hospital will miss Marty terribly. Since I was an intern in 1995, he was a source of advice and wisdom. He was a great clinicians, and his patients will miss him as well. I feel as though an era has ended
