A few short days ago I learned of the loss of my friend, Michael. I was sadded beyond words. How blessed I was to have him as a friend for the last 27 years. Reading the guest book entries, the tremendous legacy the Mike left is clear.... a friend to hundreds, if not thousands, a go-to guy (you need help with something - go-to Mike), a mentor, advisor, dedicated, a guy who always has a smile on this face and a joke to tell.
My thought, prayers and deepest sympathies are with all of Michael's family and friends.
Remember his legacy and he will remain forever in our hearts.

Mike was a great guy, husband, father. I went to school @ SMT with him and his wife Kathy. He took my son and his son
to flyer's games. He also was a
referree for OCAA hockey a few times.....May he rest in peace.

I wanted to write a few comments to the register. I am Kathleen's sister. I have spent a lot of time with Kathleen and the kids over the last week and wanted everyone to know how they are doing. The expressions of sympathy have been out of this world. Kathleen has been in awe of the presence Mike has had on so many people. Sunday and Monday's outpouring filled her heart. I saw her smile yesterday when talking about Mike. I also wanted to say that I know many people could not stand in line for the 3plus hours at the viewing on Sunday. Please know that Kathleen appreciates the effort and understands. It was beyond anything I have ever witnessed. Please keep up your prayers for Kath, Mikey, Kerry and Kate. It shall be a long road with many bumps in the road. On a personal note, I will miss Mike (even though he tortured me regularly) I guess that's a brother-in-laws job.

To the Condon Family,
I have just heard of the tragic news. I grew up on Akron Street and new Mike well, he was a great kid who 'loved' street hockey. I last saw him about 3 years ago at a block party in SW Philly. I promised to give him a call and go over old times. I never called... my loss.
God Bless the Condon family

I'm deeply saddened to hear the sudden passing of a great guy in Mr. Condon. I knew him since he was my baseball coach at FKD. Mr. Condon was fun to be around and was always willing to talk. He would always be willing to give up tickets to a Bulldogs roller hockey game, or was willing to help out with equipment when me and my friends would play at the playground. All in all, he was a good guy and will be deeply missed by my family. I'm just happy I got to spend time with a guy like him. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family during this time.

On behalf of the former American Hockey League off-ice officials of both the Baltimore Skipjacks and Bandits, I'd like to express deepest sympathy to the Condon family. Mike was a pleasure to work with. His good natured humor and insights always kept us on our toes. Even though there hasn't been hockey in Baltimore for about 4 years, Mike is often brought up in conversations and stories. He will be missed by all who knew and had the chance to work with him.

Kathy and kids
I want to again express my deepest sympathy to you all. Unfortunately, I was unable to be there on Monday to pay my respect to a GREAT person. Mike and I have worked many games together in the AHL and recently, I had the pleasure to work with him at the Flyers games.
We have lost a great friend and you have lost a very loving father and husband.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I met Mike when I was just five years old, he was about ten. He helped out my teacher, Sister Charles Helene, who taught first grade. Although Mike was five years older then me we hit it off right away and became friends. Mike helped me through that first year and helped me to gain confidence. He was also a sponsor for my entire class two years later at our Confirmation. In those days you couldn't pick your sponsor but I was glad that Mike was mine. Mike also helped out my brother and me as we started playing hockey. Mike gave some old equipment to my brother to use to help get him started and my brother later passed on the equipment to me. I still have his old chest protector with his name on it. I can't say that I was one of Mike's closest friends but he always made me feel like one. I would see him coming out of church or at a hockey rink and he would always call out my name and stop to reminisce. He was quite a character. My heartfelt condolences go out to all his family and friends. Mike will be missed.

It is with much saddness I learned of the passing of my friend Michael. Unfortunately, I could not attend the services, but wanted to let his family know what a good person and friend he was to me. I met Micheal over 10 years ago when he was refereeing Skipjacks games. We stayed in touch as best we could. He was there for me when I moved to Philly for some time. Letting me know I had a friend there if needed.
He was proud of his family and his part he played in hockey, and I was proud to be his friend.

My deepest Sympathies to Mikes Family.I got to know Mike when he introduced himself before a Baltimore Skipjacks Hockey Game and he has been a good friend ever since.Although we didn't get to see each other often, whenever we did the first thing Mike would do was take out his most recent pictures of the kids to show me and he would proudly tell me what each one has been up to since the last time I saw him. He was a man who deeply loved his Family, his Friends, and his Hockey. I was proud to have him as a friend and I will miss him always.

Mike was my second cousin. I attended the viewing tonight. I have NEVEr seen so many people turn out to pay their respects for someone. What a testimony to the type of person Mike was and the type of life he lead. My families prayers are with Mike's family. I lost my father to a heart attack at 42 years old. Our family wishes to express it's heartfelt sympathy to the entire Condon family during these truly trying times. Mike was the one to call if you needed something done or if you needed a prize for a fundraiser. A few years back Mike helped secure a donated item to my cousins'ALS benefit, for which our family was truly grateful. One phone call was all it took, that's the type of guy he was.

To the Condon family I want to share our heartfelt sorrow at the passing of Mike from both myself and the Baltimore Bandits Booster Club. Alhough we have not had an AHL hockey club here in years our club would often encounter Mike at other AHL events. He always made time for all of his friends and rarely did you see him without a smile. Gtrandmom Lorraine often told him that he was an awful linesman (especially when we lost) but he was a GREAT human being. We know now that he will join our member Michael Ford (former Baltimore Skipjacks/Bandits mascot) in heaven on God's team. They can get the game ready for the rest of us!
