Howard Tipton and I just donated $500 to Alzheimer. Both Howard and I went to high school and college with Mike.
Great story about Mike below. Mike and I played baseball together in high school and we needed to win a game to get into the playoffs. We were tied with Woodson high school in the bottom of the 7th, and I was on third. Mike hit a single to drive me in for the winning run! Terrific athlete and even better person. Will miss him

Lynn, Praying for you and the family today. Mike was such an incredible person. I can count on one hand the individuals I have met with the extraordinary quality of knowing every person they ever encountered by name. He truly cared about and for others, and always sought to take care of those in his circle.

I was fortunate to know Mike for a brief time in my life, and looked up to him as my mentor. He always put a smile on my face, respected my views and had more confidence in me than I did in myself! As an individual who lived his life with grace an empathy, he was incredibly kind, warm, and down to earth. Being such a high ranking official professionally, somehow, he made sure every conversation with him made me feel just as accomplished. He was a true leader, full of humility. On my recent visit to Croatia, where they drank wine with sparkling water, I could only think of Mike and how we'd laugh when we next met, and I'd relay the story to him. We all know of his love for a cup of ice with his Chardonnay :)
I will deeply miss his wit, advice and genuine concern, he was a rare soul and inspired everyone he met, to be a better version of themselves. I felt like I knew his wife Lynn, and his family, through his stories. My deepest condolences to his family. Words cannot convey my shock and grief adequately, until we meet again Mike

Mike was my mentor and I reported to him briefly at Twenty30 Health. Mike was always a very positive, encouraging mentor who did not hold a hierarchical mindset in his leadership- he was always asking my opinion on how to drive operational decisions and client program launches, providing feedback on his own experiences, while encouraging thoughtful discussion. He was quicker to praise all achievements across the organization and was always enthusiastic to hear of professional as well as, most importantly, personal successes in family life. Mike's enthusiasm, unwavering support and guidance will live on from his time on Earth. I am so glad to have met and to have worked with him. God Bless folks like Mike West.

I just can´t wrap my head around this. I worked for many years at Rothman and was lucky enough to be able to work with Mike. To me when you mentioned Rothman you thought of Mike and vice versa. Mike dedicated so many of his years at Rothman and you could see and trust he always had the best interest in all involved. He was certainly one of the reasons Rothman became so successful. He was always available for any employee no matter how busy he was. Words can´t even say how sorry I am to know Lynn and his family and the hurt they must be feeling. My heart and my prayers will continue for all. Mike you were one of a kind and will truly be missed.

Mike was one of a kind. I had the pleasure of working with him for 5 years. He mentored me, provided me with a wonderful opportunity to work with him at Specialty Care Network and with his guidance I continued with my healthcare career for over 30 years. We had stayed in touch and he was so proud of his accomplishments with The Rothman Institute. He taught me a valuable lesson. I remember walking into his office to ask a question and he had the answer I was searching for. I remember saying "Mike you are so smart, you know everything". His response was " No Barbara, the key is to surround yourself with smart people and it makes me looking smart that much easier". I took that as a compliment and was honored to be working with him. RIP Mike, I will forever cherish the memories.
