Miriam Berman Obituary
MIRIAM (nee Sacks) joined her late husband Solomon and son Martin (Timmy) on Sept. 7, 2005, beloved mother of Merle Holman, Carole (Cookie) Mason and husband Joel. Sharing in our sadness of losing our joy in having her in our life are grandchildren Amy Edelman, Robin (Paul) Kaplan, Dena (Robert) Price, Jeffrey Mason and Suzy Mason; her great grandchildren had the good fortune to spend time with their GG learning social graces, catching up on the phone and writing her letters, Matthew Kaplan, Samantha Kaplan, Sophie Edelman, Catie Edelman and Sarah Price; Miriam was the sister Rosalie Abowitz Kochman and the late Sydney Sacks. Her loving friends from her former home in Wynnewood, PA and Coconut Creek, FL will miss her compassion and sound advice. Many who knew her or just met her remember the question "What sign are you?" Miriam had macular degeneration for 12 years and though legally blind, lived independently, had yummy dinner parties, read hundreds of books on tape and LOVED the casino's. Please join us Fri., Sept. 9, 2005 at 2 P.M. at The Roosevelt Memorial Park Community Mausoleum, Roosevelt Memorial Park, Trevose, Bucks Co., PA. The family will return to the Holman residence, Sat. evening after 7 P.M. and Sun. to share memories of Miriam. The family respectfully requests that contributions in her memory be made to Tim Berman Memorial Fund, c/o: The Fox Chase Cancer Center. 33 Cottman Ave, Phila., PA 19111.
