I worked with Dr. Turtz in the early 80's at United Hospitals and was fortunate enough to know this incredible man. He taught me to be calm and "don't sweat the small stuff" because most things were small stuff. His memory will always be a blessing and my heart goes out to the Turtz family. What a special man!

Dr. Turtz treated me as a child at St. Christopher's, as one of his hearing impaired patients. I wish I had kept in touch, to show him how I grew and rose to the challenge of coping with my disability. I'm gratified that he succeeded in building a sizable family during his long life - arguably the most important of all his achievements. Thank you doctor for being there in my early years.

I had the honor of working with Dr Turtz at SCHC starting in 1977. He was a kind and compassionate man. The care he gave to his patients and families was exceptional, his dedication to the hospital epic. I was also fortunate to meet his son Alan at Cooper Hospital, another wonderful doctor, he would always let me know how his dad was doing and send along my regards.
The world needs more people like you Dr Turtz. May you rest in peace
