I still miss her very much. I really appreciated her sense of humor and knowing the right thing to say at the right time. Also she was so honest, a great listener and friend.

Time goes by so fast, and busy lives always seem to take priority. I know yesterday was the day you left. Is it possible that a year has gone by since you have gone. I hope it is peaceful where you are, and that you have met my mother-in-law, Elsie, who left the very next day after you, which is today. Did you celebrate Barbara's birthday? Did she greet you when you arrived? I know I am now not afraid to go, knowing so many people I loved have gone before me. Save me a seat.
I saw Deanie and Guy. They turned out to be great adults. You did a good job! They will be okay.
Always remembering.
Love,
Elaine

Hi Mom,
Happy Mother's Day. I love you so much. I miss you more than anything. This is the greatest pain I have ever known. My heart is breaking. I am only happy that you are out of all your pain. You taught me so much about life in the time that we had together and I am so grateful for that and that you are my mom. You are the best, most caring and loving mother there ever was. I was down the shore yesterday to visit Chris' grandmom, and I went to the beach at the bay. I found a shell with another little one attached to it. I thought it was you and me. Then I took a closer look, and there is a baby shell on the little shell. I cried. It is you and me and Peter. There are no words to describe the loss I feel without you in my life. Please know that I will always love you and keep you in my heart forever, and will talk to you every day. I love you, Mom. With all my love, Deanie

Nadine was a burst of sunshine in my life! She always cared about me and really wanted to know how I was doing. Nadine was real. She spoke from her heart and when she did I knew that she spoke from a place of unconditional and unbridled love. I really miss her, but know that I can talk to her at any time and any place.

Nadine was the most caring and loving person I have ever met. She cared about others before herself. She constantly gave and gave of herself. She was my sponsor and she had a way of always saying the right thing. She also had a great sense of humor. I felt like I knew her for years. When she spoke at Coda meetings, it was exactly what I was thinking. We were so much on the same wave length. She was a great encouragement to me and to many others. I loved her so. she will be sorely missed.

To Nadine's family,
I knew your mum from different support groups that we both attended. She was a sponsor and mentor to me. She was devoted to her recovery; may her legacy live on.
I ask that our heavenly Father comfort you at this moment and may His peace be with you always.
In Nadine's, Coda's, OA's and Christ's love,

Nadine was one of the dearest people I have ever met. She was always kind to me, and others. I am very sorry for your loss, but I hope you know that she was deeply loved, even by people that barely knew her.

Part of Our Hearts Forever
Could we ever forget your sparkling eyes
or the way you brightened each day,
or your smile which is etched in our memories,
so you're never far away?
Could we ever forget those priceless moments?
The answer, of course, is never.
For you were part of our lives for a brief time,
but you'll be part of our hearts forever. (author unknown)
