My condolences on your loss. I always enjoyed visiting Dr Bortnick in PA and in Florida when Lillian was still alive. His last visit to campus was great and I am so glad he got to meet some of the lucky students who were recipients of the scholarships. He will be missed.

So sorry to hear that Dr. Bortnick has passed away. I met him on numerous occasions when he visited his alma mater, the Chemistry Department of the University of Minnesota. He was a good friend and benefactor to the Department, and I will always remember his enthusiasm and dedication.
