Here goes the other 1

May the good earth be soft under you

when you rest upon it,

and may it rest easy over you when,

at the last, you lay out under it,

And may it rest so lightly over you

that your soul may be out

from under it quickly,

and up, and off,

And be on its way to God.

Hey, whats up Pat it's Richie. I can't believe you are really gone. I will always remember the good times when you would call me from North Carolina and California ripping up the Flyers and Eagles for not winning. I will always be thankful for meeting you in Carroll. We had some great times. You would write all the English papers and all I had to do was read them. We always made good partners. Tons of laughs. I will never forget the memories. It was a sad day for me to hear about your passing. You will always be missed and loved.

I cried when you told me you wanted to be a Marine.

I cried when you left for boot camp tears of fear as well as pride.

I cried when you graduated, I was so proud.

I cried when you told me you had volunteer to go to Iraqi, every day I

waited for a Mothers worse fear to see 2 strange Marines at her door.

You came home safely and we cried in each

others arms My baby had come home he had done very well.

You were safe on our soil the fears were gone. I never could have imagine

that the day would come when I opened the door to see 2 Marines. With

the words that will haunt me till the day I died." Your Son has passed we are

sorry to say. He died in his sleep at Camp Lejeune". I cry every day and I'll cry

till I died, till I can hold you again and ask why.

A fallen Marines Mom

Dear Jimmy, Shaun, and family,

I am extremely sorry for the lose of Pat. Unfortunately, I know what it feels like to loose such a close fmaily member. Jimmy and Shaun both knew my brother Jason who passed away two years ago last March. I know this may not be comforting to you now but....with each day that passes your sadness will fade and be replaced with the happy memories you shared. They are always with us and you will feel them when you least expect it. Just know my thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

I cannot begin to express my sadness for the loss of Pat. I met him many years ago when he was just little kid and lived down the street from us on Harold St. Pat was one of my daughter's closest friends back then, but when he moved, he and Sam didnt hang out as much, til a few years later. When I heard that Pat passed away, even though we hadn’t talked in ages, I still feel a deep sadness that Pat is no longer with us.

I would also like to wish my condolences to the entire Pote family. My heart goes out to you and to all that loved Pat. I can only imagine how difficult this is for you. You all are in my prayers.

April 17, 2006

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
