My condolences to the Carlino family. Rosina, I still tell people the story of a lunch I had with your father at the Broad Axe Tavern. He said to me that day "I stopped buying green bananas" I asked why he responded " I don´t know if I´ll see them turn yellow " those words stuck with me. Thank you for that day. I will never forget. God Bless

Sincere condolences to the Carlino family. I had met Peter only once. My Aunt Mary Lou Powers was a frequent visitor to the Carlino residence over the years, and had many wonderful stories of Peter and Betty and their family. I treasure them as they are an insightful part of our family's history and legacy.

Dear Peter and Marsha,
I extend to your entire family, my family's condolences upon the passing of Peter's father. From the time that my father, Sidney, first worked with Peter's father in the early 1970s, I have held Mr. Carlino in high esteem, as did my father. Sincerely, Joel Knoblauch

Uncle Peter we will miss you with all of our hearts...from all of your nieces and nephews on Aunt Betty's side of the family.
To my dear cousins...we may not have grown up together, however, all of you have been in my thoughts and prayers throughout my life.
I remember coming to Anne's wedding like it was yesterday (I believe it was 41 years ago!), and I see all of you as you were then (and thank you Ricky for picking me up at the airport)!! That trip was so special and Uncle Peter made me feel great after I ironed his shirt! I loved the times that I spoke to him on the phone and we will always remember and treasure his kindness to our family.
Uncle Peter was a great man and I know that he has passed on so may things to each of you. I wish that I could have been with all of you to celebrate Uncle Peter's life. Treasure the memories. I love you all.

Uncle Peter, I want to thank you for just being there. I wanted to tell you that, when we spoke on the phone a couple weeks ago and then we started talking about cars and that was that. Funny, I was going to call you so I could see your 58 Benz Roadster. Oh well! You were a shining lite for me, we had the same blood running thru our viens and if you could succeed so can I, and I did with no help. So hear's hoping that there's a bottle of Dewars and a deck of cards waiting for you up there. See you soon
Love,
Teddy

I knew Peter from IDP and found him to be an extremely astute businessman while also being very friendly; we shared a liking for Germantown and oft argued as to who knew it the best.
