To our Dearest and Best Friend Pete,
I don't know where to start. Words cannot express how shocked we were about your passing. You were like a brother to Matt, a best friend and mentor to both of us, Matt with obtaining his law degree and myself with obtaining my college degree. You always made time for both of us when we needed your advice throughout the years for just about anything, no matter how busy you were, and we will never forget it. I will always treasure the talks and laughs we shared over the years. I enjoyed helping when you campaigned for District Justice. I know you would have made a fine Judge. Even though you didn't win, you were a true winner in my book. I have always had the highest respect for you not only as a fine attorney, but as a fine individual. One of the most giving, caring, and honest men I have ever met in my life.
You were a devoted and proud family man who loved your family, and always put their needs before your own, a beloved husband who always bragged about your wife Stephanie and her great cooking, a proud dad who raised 4 great kids, busy putting them all through college and a proud PopPop to 2 beautiful granddaughters. You taught them all about family values and religious values. You remind me so much of my own dad while I was growing up having the same family values, and I will never forget how you were there for me when I went through that difficult time after losing my dad and my brother. Aside from your own family, you always made time for your clients and your friends, you were truly loved and respected by so many people, you always had a way to make people laugh even if they were sad and you touched so many hearts with your love and compassion.
One of the funniest times I remember, (and there were many), was how Pete always thought his computer was the best and there was no need for an upgrade. Matt always called Pete's computer, the "abacus," meaning, "ancient," lol. Then the many times where he kept rulers of different sizes in every desk drawer to measure all the margins for letters even though he knew it wasn't necessary, but Pete had to do it his way. Then there was a time when he helped me with a letter which he had Diana type up for me. His letters were always the best and well written. (to no fault of Diana), he always made sure he proofread all letters before sending....well the very beginning of my letter started with, "Mr." Janice, and of course we laughed for hours on that one. The computer was so old that the "s" must have been missing! Pete always told me if you want to learn how to write a good essay, just read National Geographic, so of course I went out and had to buy a copy and read it just so Pete would be proud of me, and I know he was. I could go on and on about this wonderful man. Highly intelligent, always smiling and always making people laugh.
Pete, thank you for the great memories throughout the many years.
Stephanie, Pete, Jr., Stephanie, Nick and Dan, you have our deepest condolences and we will keep you in our prayers. Pete will be sadly missed by all of us. If there is anything we can do to help, don't even hesitate, we are just a phone call away.
Rest in peace our dear friend..we love you and we will miss you more than you'll ever know.
Love Janice and Matt

I would like to send my deepest condolences to the Deliberty family for this great lose. I had the pleasure of doing business with Mr. Pete Deliberty and can only say that without his undivided attention, dedication to detail, and willingness and openess to helping me through my tough times I would not have been able to find closure with the issues that he took on and stood by my side for. Rest in Peace you good man. From my family to yours. The Weachters.

Dear Dan and entire DeLiberty Family-
My thoughts and prayers go out to you all during this time. One of my memories of Mr. D is a story my mother still enjoys and laughs at to this day. Back when Dan & I were in grade school, Mrs. D made a steak dinner bought from Alex's Meat Market. Mr. D was so upset with the poor quality that he marched right back up to the store to yell at Alex w/dinner plate & peas still on the plate!
He was a great man full of life and love.

My fondest memory of Mr. DeLiberty was Dan's 5th grade Halloween party. Dan was upset that no one was dancing so Mr. DeLiberty came downstairs to the party to encourage the boys and girls to dance. He paired a few of us up and started dancing himself. In a matter of minutes, everyone was dancing and having the time of our lives, thanks to Mr. DeLiberty’s intervention! Mr. DeLiberty will be remembered for his charisma and kindness. I am thankful and blessed to have known him.

I had the pleasure to know Mr. DeLiberty (aka Mr. D) for about 4 years. In that short time I came to know a wonderful, kind, loving, generous family man. He accepted me like part of his own family and with open arms. I spent many hours in his office talking his ear off. He never made me feel rushed or unwanted and was happy to engage in conversation! I loved to hear his stories of the past. He always had something interesting or witty to say. I am grateful to have those memories. Mr. D came to my college graduation party over an hour away laying down in his SUV shortly after back surgery! It was amazing and a comical sight to see! Even though he didn't feel well he came because he wanted to show his support. I am hoping he knew how special that was for me. I will miss him dearly but I know I will always have the loving memories of him in my heart. I love you and will miss you Mr. D! God Bless you.
