Mr. Kelly was my English teacher at Glenside-Weldon Jr High. He was one of those teachers that just "stuck" with you. I met him years later when my daughter auditioned for The King and I for a AHS production. He approached me, recalling me by my maiden name and remembered specific fun times our class had that year. You knew as a student in his class that he "wanted" to be there, to share his knowledge, to pull from you strengths you may not have known you had and he lead by example. It was a honor to be one of his students. Rest in Peace Mr. Kelly.

Mr. Kelly was a wonderful English teacher! I have never forgotten him. He was also a wonderful bowling coach and made being on the bowling team a fun event several days a week! He always made us laugh, he will be truly missed. Rest in Peace Mr. Kelly.

Pete was a unique spirit, a great teacher, and an amazing person with an awesome sense of humor. I had the good fortune to work with Pete for 15 yrs at ASHS and he will be sorely missed by all those who had to pleasure of knowing him. Rest in peace my friend.

I had the pleasure of being a student of Mr. Kelly's - both as an ARTW announcer and as an actress in the school musicals. He was certainly a class act and will be missed!

"A teacher affects eternity:
he can never tell where his influence stops."
Henry Adams.

This quote had to be written about Mr. Kelly. He shaped the course of my life by simply believing in me when others did not have the same belief. Whenever I start to doubt myself, in theater or in other aspects of life, I am always reminded of how he never did. I think the greatest lesson he taught me was to love what you do. He loved to teach. He loved his students like they were his children. He loved to direct and to share the arts, to encourage growth no matter if you were a lead or ensemble. He loved working with his fellow teachers. He always had a smile and a joke.

Thanks to his encouragement I chose my life path in the arts. I met my amazing husband doing shows., I’ve made indescribable friendships and learned so much about myself and the world through my artistic endeavors. And I have him to thank. So thank you, Sneaky Pete. Thank you for believing, for supporting, for caring. For touching my life. I can only hope that my children will be as lucky as I was. You will be sorely missed in the world but you live on in the lessons you taught your students.

I also had Mr Kelly at Abington High School. He was so much fun and encouraged us to use our potential. He will be missed.

Mr. Kelly was "that" teacher we all have. The one we talk about long after we're out of school and the ones we tell our children about. He was a wonderful man and will be missed.
