I not only lost my Mother, but my best friend. My Mom and I shared laughs, adventures, heartaches and fun times. She was my go-to person for Southern recipes like chicken and dumplings and sweet potato puddin. In her, I had a confidante, cheerleader, encourager and unconditional love. I am grateful for the times we spent together, including the evening before her death. We watched Meet the Browns and her laughter will remain etched in my memory forever. That night she was worried about me traveling alone. I told her not to worry and that I loved her, kissing her on the forehead. She said she loved me too. Her candor was evident that night too I see you didn't curl your hair. Yes, I'll miss Mom telling it like it is.
I wish that you were still here. I wish that I could hug you again. I wish that we could laugh and talk like we always did. But that's not for me to decide. God wanted another angel. So I'll cherish the memories and take solace in knowing that I have another angel in heaven watching over me. Someone who loved me unconditionallythe truest form of love.
Rest in peace and love Mom. I'll remember to stay in the outside lane.

Family, Sharing your sorrow for the lost of this dear aunt. Memories are many and they will get us thru. One that is a constant reminder in my life is her famous "Coconut Custard Pie". She taught me to make it and many friends know of her thru my sharing of this dish. She is thought of and mentioned every time with love.

Jacque, Jericho and the Jowers Family ~ I offer my prayers and sincere thoughts during this time of grief. There is nothing like a Mother's LOVE. Cherish the memories, laugh, cry, mediate and always find strength in the things your Mom has taught. Blessing to the entire family.

Auntie.. Wow.. Last week was a shock indeed. I will forever miss you. Remembering some of our dear conversations around who had the best steak hoagies in the city.... Upper Darby was your 1st choice. You loved Family and Friends, but you also loved your steak hoagies. I still have the little metal case of candy (unopened) from your surprise birthday party 5/8/2010. Much love to our entire family, and to all Auntie friends. May we smile, cry, and reflect on the good times we had with Auntie. ""You Know""
